Solid, dependable CAD functionality is the structure upon which AlarmCAD was built. This is divided into two major categories, 2D reliability and fluid 3D capability.

2D cad has been the standard in design for years. That is why we stress the point of keeping the ability to use the tools that have been tried and tested. There are many tools available to the designer. The list includes, lines, rectangles, triangles, arcs, circles, polylines, text, symbols, picture windows, point-to-point and running dimensions.

3D is the future of design. While 2D has been the standard, M.E.P.CAD knows how important 3D is and will be to designers, sales people, clients, fabricators, installers and most importantly, code and regulation organizations. Important tools have been added to allow the ease of building walls, windows (rectangle and circular), columns, doors, beams, roof planes, cylinders, wires and devices in 3D space. For example, actual 3D cable length is used in voltage/current calculations.
