Appliances are automatically labeled with specific circuit information, and you can choose whether circuit assignment for appliance connections is manual or automatic. 

The Parts Tree stores commonly used details and symbols for easy on-screen access and "drag-and-drop" placement into the design environment. Anything drawn in AlarmCAD can be saved in the Parts Tree for future use. Selections can be dragged from the drawing and dropped into the Parts Tree. Parts can then be reused in the same drawing or in any other drawing created with AlarmCAD. 

The BOM, or Bill of Material, analyzes the drawing to create a complete parts list, including cable and conduit. "Trim" can be associated with each appliance thus allowing you to stock-list any additional materials that may be necessary for custom installations. The user can also apply a "fudge factor" to the wire length calculations.
