Place Wire Path Labels

Access:  Commands menu/Place Wire Path Labels submenu

Place Wire Path Labels inserts labels at user-designated locations throughout the drawing. Simply select and highlight the wire path(s) to be labeled, then access the Commands menu/Place Wire Path Labels submenu.

By default, the label's complete address will be shown in the drawing, along with a leader line to and ellipse surrounding the wire path (see image on left).

The resulting Wire Path Label is located at the top in black: 1 01 V 00 SIG1#16. Access its Properties page by double-clicking the Wire Path Label in the AlarmCAD for AutoCAD drawing.

Include or exclude as much label data as needed. The left image appears after clicking the Format button on the Properties page.

Please note the sequence of the label's address, and its corresponding legend on the left.

1 01 V 00 SIG1 #16

In this example, 'V' represents a Notification circuit type.
