Update Wire Path Labels

The Update Wire Path Labels command evaluates circuit properties and revises information presented on the wire path label to reflect current circuit conditions. If users add or remove appliances to the circuit path, the command will update the wire path label to reflect additions and/or removals.

The image on the right illustrates a simple alarm system. Note the wire path label at the top: 1 01 V 00 SIG1 #16.

How to Run the Command

To run the command, first highlight the wire path label(s) to be updated (illustrated below), then access the command through the Commands menu/Update Wirepath Labels submenu.

Alternatively, access the command with a right-mouse click after highlighting the wire path label(s), and the Update Wirepath Labels command is the last item in the menu.

Initiating Device 00101M10001(in green) was added to the system.

Wirepath label 101V00Sig1#16 was highlighted first, before the command was run.

The image above illustrates the resulting wirepath label after running the command.

Because of the addition of the Initiating Device, the wirepath label now includes that path in its label: 101U00M1#16.
