AutoSPRINK Training Site - Antifreeze Calculations
Select "Settings" on the menu bar then click on "Hydraulic Calculations" and a dialog window will pop up. Next set for Darcy-Weisbach click on the button next to it to bring up the properties.


The Properties should look similar to this:


(The Temperature is most likely different and the agent is definitely different.)

Once this Darcy-Weisbach option is selected: the properties of every pipe in the system, that will contain antifreeze, needs to be set to:



Some pipes (that contain antifreeze) might run through warm areas.



If so, the “Located within a cold area” option would not be selected:



Calculations can be run using either method simply by switching between Darcy-Weisbach and Hazen-Williams:



(Both calculations are normally required by code.)
