AlarmCAD for AutoCAD's Cable
Properties Page allows users to
customize cable by its part number in the drop-down menu. Alternatively,
choose a cable by filtering its Manufacturer,
Type, Conductor,
Description, and Wire
gauge drop-down menus, if applicable.
Change the cable's color assignment as needed in the field. In this example, its color assignment is red.
The Wire Legend ID field, when customized, appears in reports such as the Wire List Legend Report. In the left image, the ID is 'PLNM CAB.'
The Resistance dialog box displays the cable's default resistance level, listed here as 0.05080 Ohms per foot. If enabled as the diagram illustrates on the left, users can adjust the override resistance, using either the arrow buttons or inserting a value in the field.
If applicable, access the cable manufacturer's specifications sheet (.pdf file), by clicking the Cut Sheet button to pull up the specifications.
Press the Cost and Labor button to access the material and labor costs' fields, as found in an appliance's Costs Page.
When finished with modifications, click OK to save and then close the Cable Properties dialog. Click Cancel to exit without saving.
